Yes. Part of the install is going over maintenance. ROQ machines are very user friendly and don’t require a lot of maintenance. We also have videos showing step by step how to perform maintenance on the equipment.
ROQ HYBRID
The minimum press size is a P16 XL. This could be a YOU, NEXT, ECO, or Oval. One thing to consider when sizing your press is to keep in mind the use of other specialty effects such as puff, foil, metallic etc. If you plan to use special effects you will need to size up the machine. Consider, as an average, 2 more pallets per special effect. Some will require more stations such as a flock set up would require 4 stations.
The Hybrid physically takes up three print head positions, however the hybrid layout does require a minimum of 16 pallets (includes load/unload stations).
The Hybrid comes in two different color configurations. One is CMYK+RG. The second is CYMK. If you ordered a CYMK Hybrid, the machine could be upgraded later with the RG.
The ROQ Hybrid uses ROQ’s proprietary inks called MicroPigment.
PNG, JPEG, and TIFF, and PDF.
By design, the ROQ digital equipment, along with most other direct-to-garment machines in the market, can print using PNG, JPEG, TIFF, and PDF. PNG files are the easiest and most common image format for DTG, allowing the easiest manipulation, placement, and printing. The JPEG formats are fairly limiting and limits the printer to either printing a large box, or limiting the jpeg to only have pure white background or a black background. TIFF and PDF are the typical formats for custom artwork. These formats can come with swatches attached which allow the user to print high quality images with high accuracy.
320 pieces an hour
The ROQ NOW’s production capacity per hour varies on several factors. Our official number is 320 per hour, but that number can increase or decrease based on the competency of operators, the complexity of print, the material being printed on, etc.
The Hybrid is capable of printing a 500x700 or 19.7''x27.6''
The ROQ HYBRID is in the water-based ecosystem. ROQ sells complimentary inks to go along with the HYBRID. This includes white base, top coating, primer paste, blocker 2.0, Clear2.0. The new blocker base ink for hybrid printing, ROQ’s Micropigment Blocker 2.0. Its homogeneous formula blocks the dye migration to top printings.

ROQ OUT
The ROQ OUT was designed to process a majority of our clients needs, T-Shirts. With 3 different sized plates the ROQ OUT can fold, bag garments from small to 3XL and label for your direct to retail or direct to consumer needs with the ability to print and apply a UPC barcode or shipping label.
The ROQ OUT, being designed for t-shirts, it is not the solution for thicker garments like hoodies or fleece.
Small footprint, single operator, minimal power and air requirements.
Simple, we can test the garments on our ROQ OUT at the Clermont, Florida Tech Center just to be sure.
ROQ READY
Currently we have tested Dupont light and dark pretreat used in conjunction with the ROQ GO, Firebird, and Brother. Any other brand would need to be tested.
At the moment we can save four unique recipes for the light garments and four for dark garments. The recipe saves which pretreat machine you want to use, length and width to pretreat, the amount of pretreat, number of passes, flash temperature and time, and press temperature and time. In Q2 2024 we plan on having barcode scan capabilities which will allow us to have a wider range of recipes. Stay tuned
This depends on the type of pretreatment you plan on using. We use both light and dark pretreatment with the ROQ GO. Other brands of pretreatment are using the light garment pretreatment machines based on them using the same pretreatment for both light and dark garments.
Check the list of tested pretreament. If you don’t see your brand of pretreatment on the list, we would recommend sending 10 liters of pretreatment and garments to the Florida Tech Center. There we can test to ensure you are buying the correct pretreatment machine for your needs. The Hybrid comes in two different color configurations. One is CMYK+RG. The second is CYMK. If you ordered a CYMK Hybrid, the machine could be upgraded later with the RG.
No problem. All you need is sleeve pallets. You can program the recipe to only use the center nozzles. This will prevent any excess waste.
ROQ NOW
PNG, JPEG, TIFF, and PDF1.
By design, the ROQ Digital equipment, along with most other direct-to-garment machines in the market, can print using PNG, JPEG, TIFF, and PDF. –PNG is the easiest and most common image format for DTG, allowing the easiest manipulation, placement, and printing. 220+ pieces an hour. The ROQ NOW's production capacity per hour varies on several factors. Our official number is 220+ per hour, but that number can increase or decrease based on the dryer throughput, the competency of operators, the complexity of print, the material being printed on, etc. We have Partners that use the NOW at 250 pieces per hour for some projects, other Partners that use it at 120 an hour for more complex work, and others that are printing on very complex materials that require even slower processes.
Using the 6 color setup allows us to print with a wider color gamut. With the addition of Orange and Green, we can achieve more accurate color reproduction. The 4 color system has a good basic color profile with very nice results, and the NOW focuses on the ability to produce the highest possible color reproduction for use in the high fashion market.
The NOW uses ROQ’s proprietary suite of applications. The entire whole ROQ Ddigital lineup uses Now also comes with NeoStampa as the rip software. The digital cabinets also have ROQ STUDIOtudio. ROQ STUDIOStudio is a print preparation, simulation, and profile editor powered by Neostampa.
The NOW uses 18 industrial Fujifilm Dimatix Starfire Print Heads per digital cabinet. A robust and repairable construction makes it ideal for textile printing. Using 80 pico-liter Liter heads in the white cabinet and 32 pico-liter Liter heads in the color cabinet. We decided to move to the 80pL. The reason we decided to move to the 80pL was for better coverage on a wider array of materials. The 32pL heads strike a good balance of coverage and fidelity which is why we use it in the color cabinet.
Why Starfire heads?
Fujifilm Dimatix Starfire Print Heads are incredibly durable and allow for full maintenance, including. This includes refurbishing the heads. This allows us to treat the printheads less like a consumable and more like a component – a major difference.
No, the NOW is the complete solution to DTG. It has 2 inline pretreat stations; 1 for white shirts and 1 for every other color. That being said, the NOW can use pre-pretreated shirts.
The biggest bottleneck in the process of printing is going to be the throughput of the dryer being used. The ROQ SAHARA can come in various sizes. The bare minimum size to be able to achieve:
Up to 140pcs/hr is the SAHARA 4515/18
Up to 210pcs/hr is the SAHARA 6015/18
Up to 300pcs/hr is the SAHARA 7515/18
ROQ FULFILLMENT
The ROQ Fulfillment line consists of the FOLD, PACK, STACK, and Label P&A. This configuration is capable of 700 pieces per hour.
The ROQ Fulfillment can handle a wide range of garment types: tank tops, Tshirts, long sleeve shirts, fleece, hoodies, pants, dresses, polo’s, lightweight jackets, and other garments (some garments may need to be tested.
Only a single operator is required. This would be at the load position of the folder. Everything else is automated.
